How can a very average student who is completely dropping completes his sllyabus and crack the exam with very good rank

You need not be extraordinary to crack JEE. Work hard, smart and sincerely!

There are people who have failed to clear JEE despite having coaching and dropping a year - but, there are also those who have cleared JEE by studying for barely 3–4 months and that too without coaching!

Follow this study plan, which will surely help you out:

1. Never procrastinate. Make a study plan and stick to its deadlines.

2. Do not consider a particular topic done before testing yourself. So, study a concept, its theory, solve questions in the increasing level of difficulty and then take concept test to be sure that you have achieved concept proficiency

3. While you master a concept, you must have made several mistakes. Note them down in a separate notebook so that at the time of revision, you can pay special attention towards your weaker sections

4. Do not ignore your school syllabus. This will help you in keeping your concepts clean - because you have to maintain a strong foundation. Study NCERT thoroughly

5. Do not compensate your self-study hours with time spent in the coaching classes. Set a daily routine and give enough time to self-study.

6. Practice. Everyday. And a lot. So just pen and paper doesn’t work. Prefer the online mode. My personal recommendation is myPAT. The concept tests consists of 10 questions and 20 mins to make sure that you are on the right path.

7. Solve previous year papers. This will help you figure out the exam pattern and also identify what chapters are frequently asked.

8. And buddy - this really is the most important thing - DO NOT GIVE UP EVER! There are gonna be so many days when you feel like an idiot for undertaking this whole self-study thing and are completely lost and hopeless. In those times, think on why did you initially take it up, go on and never give up!

All the Best bud
